How to create new categories in Wordpress admin dashboard

Step 1: Log in to your WordPress administration dashboard and go to the respective POST.
Step 2: Find the “Categories” box in the right-side of the window
Step 3: In case the category you want is already created, just click on the checkbox next to the category name.
Step 4: You can assign as many categories as you want for a single post.
Ste9 5: If you need to create a new category, click the “+Add New Category” link. Then type in a new category name, select a parent category if you want to create.a hierarchical structure, and click the “Add New Category” button.
