Step 1: Login to your cPanel
Step 2: Click the File Manager under the ‘Files’ section of cPanel
Step 3: Go to the ‘app’ directory under document root directory of your magento installation.
Step 4: Navigate to the ‘etc’ directory
Step 5: Locate and rick click on local.xml file and open that file with cPanel editor.
Step 6: Locate the following at the bottom of the file.
<frontName><![CDATA[admin]]></frontName>
Replace the “admin” part with the new URL you wish to use and make sure you leave the brackets. Replace the ‘admin’ path with ‘newadminpath’
<frontName><![CDATA[newadminpath]]></frontName>
Step 7: Save the file to change the magento admin path
