How to Configure an Email Account on Android Mobile using Gmail

Step 1: Open Gmail application on your Android mobile.
Step 2: For configuring an account, enter the email address and click “Next”.
Step 3: Click the option “Personal (IMAP)” for configuration and then click OK.
Step 4: For the given email address, enter the password and then click “Next”.
Step 5: Enter the server hostname or mail.domainname.com in the incoming mail settings and then click “Next”.
Step 6: Enter the SMTP or Outgoing server settings in the outgoing mail settings and then click “Next”.
Step 7: Select the Account Options in the configuration settings and click “Next”.
Step 8: The account will be set up and enter your name as username or email address and click “Next”.
Step 9: The configuration is done and the inbox can be viewed.
