It is widely used for “away” messages, or to let the people know that you have received their email. It depends on the purpose of the user to send an automatic reply when a email is received.
You can setup the auto responder by following the steps.
1) Login to your cPanel.
2) Select “Auto Responder” in the “Email” tab
3) Click on “Add Auto responder”
4) Set your own auto responder accordingly.
