Steps to take backup of MySQL database using phpMyAdmin

Step 1: In order to create a dump file of a database used by your account you can use the phpMyAdmin tool available in your cPanel

Step 2: Once the tool page loads, you should select the database in question from the panel on the left side.

Step 3: A new page will be loaded showing the structure of the selected database.

Step 4: To create a backup of the database, click the Export tab.

Step 5: On the page that opens you can choose from using the Quick or Custom export methods.

Step 6: The Quick method is usually the preferred choice, but if you would like to customize the export process and output you can use the Custom one.

Step 7: Once you choose the appropriate method, select the desired format of the backup from the Format: drop-down and click the Go button.

Step 8: A download window will pop up prompting for the exact place where you would like to save the file on your local computer.

Step 9: Click Save option to take backup of your MySQL database
