Step 1: Login to the wordpress admin dashboard.
Step 2: Click to expand the Posts options, located in the left sidebar.
Step 3: Click Categories.
Step 4: To create a new category, type in a Name.
Step 5: Type in the Slug which is the URL-friendly version of the name.
Step 6: Scroll down to Parent. You can choose to select a category.
Step 7: Enter a Description. Click Add New Category.
Step 8: Make any necessary changes or click Cancel.
Step 9: Click OK to confirm the changes.
