Step 1: Press Ctrl+2 to open the Chat view. The list pane now shows your Favorites, if any, Recent contacts, and Suggested contacts.
Step 2: With JAWS, press Ctrl+F6 until you hear: “Chat list.” With NVDA, you hear: “Tab control.”
Step 3: Press the Up or Down arrow key until you hear the name of the contact you want to chat with, followed by their availability information.
Step 4: Press Enter, type your message, and press Enter again. The message is sent.
