How to Disable DNS Recursion

Step 1: Open Start > Administrative Tools > DNS, and expand the Server node & the Forward Lookup Zones folder.
Step 2: Right-click on the server name and choose Properties.
Step 3: Click on the Advanced tab Check the Disable DNS Recursion checkbox.
Step 4: Click Apply/OK Right-click on the server name and choose Clear Cache.
Step 5: Right-click on the server name, go to All Tasks, and choose Restart.
