Step 1: Login to Joomla admin area
Step 2: Go to Site and then User Manager.
Step 3: Check the box next to the administrator username and click the Edit button located at the top-right Joomla menu.
Step 4: In the Edit menu you should modify the name in the Username field. When you are done with the change
Step 5: Click the Save button.
