How to create a remote MySQL?

Remote MySQL allows a particular domain name or IP address to connect to the database remotely by adding the domain name or IP to the access host.

Before connecting to MySQL from your machine using your third party application, you will need to input your network IP address to allow remote MySQL connection. Please follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Login to cPanel.
Step 2. Click on Remote MySQL® under the Databases panel.
Step 3. In the Remote MySQL® page, type in the domain name or IP address in the Add Access Host field.
Step 4. Click on the Add Host button.

In your application, refer to these below details to connect:

Host Name = IP address of your server
Database Name = enter your database name
Database Username = your database username
Database password = your database password
MySQL Connection Port = 3306
