Step 1: Login to the wordpress admin control panel.
Step 2: From the left hand side pane, select Appearance.
Step 3: Click on Widgets.
Step 4: Now, the widgets window opens up that lists all the available widgets on your WordPress.
Step 5: Browse and locate the widget named Search.
Step 6: Click on the widget (Search) and a dropdown menu appears which lists the places where you can place this widget on your website.
Step 7: Select one place (Ex. Left Sidebar) from the list by clicking on it.
Step 8: Now, click Add Widget button located under the same list, to add it to your website.
